The restaurants that dreams are made of: A few summers ago when Adam and I backpacked through Europe for the first time together, I somehow scored reservations at Osteria Francescana, one of the best, if not the best, restaurant in the world located in Modena, Italy.
Obviously I was on some kind of high after watching a documentary on Chef Massimo Bottura’s food thinking we could afford this place on a backpackers budget. We couldn’t. Instead, I fanatically got my photo taken in front of it like a screaming teenage gastronome.
Since then, we have eaten at some pretty fantastic places all over the world and broken our Michelin Star cherry, but my list of fancy places grows.
Recently, I came across a fellow food blogger’s recipe bucket list and was inspired to put my dream restaurant bucket list together. Thanks for the idea Culinary Cool!
So here it is, my no-holds-barred bucket list of places I dream of eating, an ever-changing list of far-off places and supple bites I long to try. As I eat my way around the world, I’ll cross it off the ever-growing list, and you guys get to read a review and drool all over the place.
Think I forgot one? Know of a place I need to try? Let me know! South America is a mystery to me, so suggestions are necessary.

I’m delighted to have inspired your bucket list! I popped my Michel Star cherry at Bouchon Bistro in Yountville. I plan to eat at all of Thomas Keller’s restaurants. I will surely be keeping this list bookmarked for future reference!!
There’s so many to add in Asia!! I think you should add Gaggan in Bangkok at the very least. Possibly Sepia and Brae in Australia too. Great excuse to get you to come over and hang on this side of the world!
Thanks Chelsea — will add those ones for sure!
