Get Cracking, the Wake Up to Yellow event is coming to St. John’s!
This post is sponsored by Get Cracking. As always, all opinions expressed in this post are my own.
Warning: this post may contain puns. Many puns… about eggs. I’m not going to exaggerate because we all know how much I love eggs — let’s all get real here, the yolk is nature’s sauce! It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to look at my blog or social media to figure out how often I cook with eggs. They are regularly the starting point for creating many of my favourite dishes from the quick cheese and spinach scramble to start my day or the protein in my power bowl at lunch. Whether you like them scrambled, fried or in a sandwich, eggs are great any time of day.
So I’m really not EGGsagerating to tell you I’m excited to partner with Get Cracking for their Wake Up to Yellow event, which will be held at Harbourside Park on the morning of July 10!
Break an Egg!

Seriously, most egg dishes take less than 10 minutes to cook; even a breakfast sandwich can be whipped up in the same amount of time it takes to stand at the fridge wondering what to make! If you want to peruse all kinds of fresh recipe ideas, you can head over to eggs.ca or follow them on Instagram for all kinds of yolky inspiration.
It Eggs the Question

As if all that yolky goodness wasn’t enough to make you crack open a few eggs, they are super healthy too! With 6.5 of protein and 14 different nutrients, they are full of energy and a great way to start the day.
Wake Up to Yellow
So St. John’s, shake an egg and get down to Harbourside Park downtown (across from the War Memorial) on July 10 from 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. for the Wake Up To Yellow event! There will be a pop-up market where you can come out and grab a free breakfast sandwich or veggie egg wrap, plus there will be local egg farmers to chat with! I’ll be there noshing on some eggs, so stop by and say hi! It will be hard to miss us — there will be bright yellow tents, rain or shine!
